Actress Sunetra Sarker picks her dream viewing…
I really enjoyed BBC2’S The Assassination Of Gianni
Versace. It was fascinating being explored from the points of view that they chose. I also loved Feud: Bette And Joan as well. I couldn’t take my eyes off it!
Comedies have really kept me
going – I enjoyed This Country, and
I was really tickled by Two Doors Down.
I like the normalness and non-silliness of it – it’s just six people sitting around a living room making eyes or banter, with no bells and whistles. I love foreign dramas, it’s really hard to stay away once you get sucked in! There’s one called
Money Heist on Netflix about eight of the best con men getting together to do a heist in the
Bank of Spain. I thought that was a really good idea, but it just went on and on, and I kept thinking, ‘How many more episodes of this are there?!’ I live next to Jo Joyner while filming Ackley Bridge, and one of the blessings of this is that we can sit in and watch TV together! Jo will watch Jeremy Kyle – I won’t, I just can’t do it! She can watch TOWIE and Made In Chelsea, but we do come together for Love Island, that’s a lot of fun.
I had some real favourites growing up – Thirtysomething and Moonlighting would definitely be
up there. As a kid, Thirtysomething felt like you were watching what grown-up life would be like, and Moonlighting was just brilliant – we didn’t make anything else like it then!
