Ziggy and Brody tie the knot

BUT ARE THEY GETTING HITCHED FOR THE RIGHT REASONS?

- Sarah Ellis

The scene is set for a gorgeous wedding in the Bay this week, as Ziggy and Brody’s loved ones gather to watch them become man and wife!

But given that Ziggy only proposed to her fella so that her poorly mum Maggie could be there for her big day, are the couple rushing into marriage too soon?

“I guess they’re just doing the best they can in the only way they know how,” explains Jackson Heywood, who plays the groom. “It may all be a bit rushed, but Brody couldn’t be happier. Ziggy is the most positive thing to ever happen to him, and to know that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him brings him so much joy. He’s over the moon.”

However, as the stag and hen parties kick off, little does Brody realise that his fiancée is having second thoughts about the wedding. And things could all be about to go horribly wrong when Ziggy and Olivia carry the hen party on to Salt, where they find Brody and the rest of his pals enjoying a show from a stripper! How will Ziggy react?

“Ziggy actually loves every second of it!” chuckles Sophie Dillman, aka Ziggy, as she takes up the story. “She has an incredible sense of humour. It’s certainly not how she expected her hen night to turn out, and she does have an increased level of anxiety about the wedding. But she knows that she’s absolutely surrounded by love.”

As the day of the ceremony dawns, Ziggy is still unsure about whether or not she’s doing the right thing. However, after some sage advice from Maggie, and a lovely text from her hubby-to-be, she decides marrying Brody is all she wants.

“Love conquers all – when you know, you know!” declares Sophie. “Ziggy is nervous and excited, but most importantly she loves Brody. She just needs to breathe and take it all in.”

All nerves appear to be gone when Ziggy arrives at Stewart’s

Point, beaming from ear to ear. And judging by these beautiful pictures, we’d say it’s pretty much the perfect day.

“Without boasting, the ceremony itself is probably something every couple would hope for,” grins Jackson. “Two soul mates, surrounded by the ones they love. It’s a day full of love, laughter, and a few awkward jokes, all in front of a breathtaking backdrop!”

But while Ziggy and Brody drive off into the sunset for their honeymoon, how long will it be before their happyever-after comes crashing down around them?
