Leo has fallen in love with Terese

AS LEO AND TERESE GROW CLOSER, NEIGHBOURS’ TIM KANO TELLS US THAT HIS CHARACTER IS READY TO BETRAY HIS FATHER…

- Sarah Ellis

Leo doesn’t think he has a chance with Terese initially…

After the kerfuffle that his fling with Chloe caused, you’d think

Leo would want a break from controversial romances for a while. But this week, he has his eye on a new lady – Terese! And if he were to hook up with her, it would cause an even bigger scandal than his dalliance with Chloe.

Not only is Terese his boss at Lassiters, but she’s also the woman that his dad Paul is desperately in love with. So now that

Leo has fallen for her, how does he feel about the prospect of betraying his father?

“Leo is extremely conflicted, and majorly guilty about developing these feelings for Terese,” confirms Tim Kano, who plays him. “He knows Paul has history with Terese, but he can see all the qualities in her that he’s looking for in a woman. She’s smart, strong and beautiful, and they have similar business minds. It’s to Paul’s detriment that he’s put Leo under Terese’s wing, as that’s when they start to develop more than just a working relationship…”

While Leo’s feelings for Terese have not appeared to be reciprocated so far, all that changes this week when he’s tasked with keeping her busy as Paul organises a birthday surprise for her. When Leo concocts a reason for them to head off into the city together, Terese is pleasantly surprised by how much fun they have – and it seems there could be a two-way spark between them!

“There’s a really nice, intimate moment,” grins Tim. “They explore the art in the back lanes, and both reminisce about their past – it allows them to get to know each other better.

Leo doesn’t think he has a chance with Terese initially, but then he starts to see glimmers of hope. He finds her caring nature refreshing and attractive.” If anything were to happen between Leo and Terese, it could ruin the lovely relationship he’s finally managed to forge with his dad. Yet Tim tells us that he’s actually rooting for Leo and Terese to give things a go!

“It makes sense that Paul and Leo would go for the same woman,” he muses. “I was excited about this story, as it’s such a controversial plot! Leo has spent so long trying to earn Paul’s respect, but when it comes to love, it may conquer all. If Terese is seriously interested in him, Leo would want to give their relationship a shot – and then just pray his dad would forgive him!”
