Sean is also beaten – and robbed!

HE’S LEFT WITH NOTHING AS THIEVES STEAL ALL HIS MONEY…

- Tom Spilsbury

Poor Sean’s grim situation goes from bad to worse this week, when he ends up being beaten up and robbed by two thugs.

Sean has been sleeping in a tent ever since he found himself without a roof over his head. But while his week starts off hopefully when he hears of a bedsit being rented out by one of Dev’s friends, things soon take a horrific turn…

“The bedsit is not much, but it’s preferable to his current living arrangements,” says our Corrie insider. “When you’re living in a tent and sleeping on concrete, even a grotty bedsit sounds like a five-star hotel. However, there’s a hiccup, as Sean can’t stump up the money for the deposit until he gets paid. Dev kindly promises to have a word with his friend to see if there’s any wiggle room, but time is running out.”

Meanwhile, Sean has an encounter with a homeless woman named Carol, who’s also fallen on hard times.

Not wanting to admit just how desperate his situation is,

Sean tells Carol he’s only sleeping rough to raise money for charity. Feeling sorry for the woman, and caught in a lie of his own making, Sean ends up giving her his tent.

“Sean is too proud to be honest, even when he’s talking to someone who’s in exactly the same predicament,” sighs our mole. “Of course, Sean thinks he’s about to move into this bedsit, and is pleased when he finally receives his overdue wages from Toyah. But sadly the cash has come too late, as Dev’s friend has let out the bedsit to someone else. What can Sean do now?”

Realising that he’s made a mistake in giving his tent away, Sean asks Carol to give it back, but she refuses to do so, instead offering him a list of hostels. And his day gets even worse when he’s accosted by two men in the toilets, who rob him of his wages!

“Sean isn’t just robbed – he’s badly beaten up by these two hooligans,” reveals our sneak. “He’s in a very bad way when Carol finds him slumped in the toilets. Remembering his kindness, she takes Sean to A&E, where he is checked out. However, when they return, Sean finds that his belongings have been stolen too. He’s left with nothing at all.”

smell. Craig offers to try to track down the two thieves who assaulted him, but Sean brushes off the police officer.

“Even at his lowest ebb, Sean is trying to carry on as if everything’s fine,” reckons our sneak. “But he’s fooling no one. He hasn’t been able to wash for days, and the stench is making it difficult for anyone to even be in the same room as him. Sean desperately needs to ask for help, though he just won’t let go of his pride.”

Later on, Carol finds Sean and kindly offers him the remains of a half-eaten pizza. At long last, the starving fella’s resolve breaks, and he ravenously devours the leftovers. However, despite the fact that he’s confided in Carol, how long can Sean hold out before he’s forced to beg his friends for help?
