Couch POTATO
Comedian Natasia Demetriou picks her dream viewing…
I live for drama – which is really bad, because I do comedy! I love anything that Shonda Rhimes makes, like Scandal or How To Get Away With
Murder. I rewatched Prime Suspect recently, and it’s so ahead of its time. I like Damages too – basically I like courtroom thriller-type dramas with female leads who are very complicated!
The comedies that I love,
I’ve watched about three million times. Things like Absolutely Fabulous, The Office, Alan Partridge, Father Ted, French And Saunders,
The Royle Family – all that stuff is the reason
I wanted to work in comedy because
I loved it too much.
Film-wise, I love
Working Girl and The First Wives
Club. I like a 90s thriller or a nice
Nancy Meyers romcom, so I love Baby Boom with Diane Keaton – I like anything with Diane Keaton in where she’s screaming! And I love things like The Hand That
Rocks The Cradle, or The Net.
Growing up, I loved The Muppets and Sesame Street – basically anything by Jim Henson. I also loved Keeping Up Appearances with Hyacinth Bucket – me and my dad would sit and watch that together and die with laughter.
If I could be in anything, obviously I’d love to be in an amazing comedy, but failing that I’d like to be a matriarch behind the bar in Coronation Street, with a lot of dramatic storylines. Please put that in – get me in Coronation Street!
