EILEEN WALSH STARS IN A COMEDY ABOUT PALS FACING THE CHALLENGES OF THIRTYSOMETHING LIFE…

Laura, Katie and Alison have watched everyone they know settle down and find their purpose in life – and yet they seem to be moving farther away from their goals. In this new Dublin-set comedy, the trio try to figure out what they want, and how to get it – or even if they can get it…

“They’ve all come to a crossroads and decided it’s now or never,” explains Eileen Walsh, who plays Alison. “They’ve decided to make some changes, and go for the path where they think happiness lies.”

For Alison, that’s marriage and children – even if that means getting back together with her ex, Martin, who she previously dumped. He’s not Mr Right, but he’ll do.

“It’s not ideal, and she’s totally upfront about it,” shares Eileen. “She’s like, ‘I’m ready, it’s not going to be fireworks, but he’s mad about me and I just want the ring on the finger and the baby in the belly!’”

Filming sex scenes with someone you’ve just met must be weird, but Eileen was relieved that she had time to get to know Aaron Mccusker (Shameless’s Jamie Maguire), who plays Martin, beforehand.

“We were lucky to get a day’s rehearsal to bond and get to know each other before having to jump straight in and have sex on camera!” she chuckles. “That’s a bit tricky, but he made it very easy because he’s got a great sense of humour. We got comfortable very quickly. That was a bit of a relief!”
