He’s back in Leanne’s life – but his past is about to catch up with him…
In the midst of the big drama kicking off on the Street this week, Nick Tilsley makes his shock return to Weatherfield – but there’s more surprises in store in the coming weeks, according to reports.
Gail’s son was last seen leaving the Street a year ago, after a failed attempt to reunite with Leanne – and Corrie bosses have revealed that his return is connected to his feelings for his ex-wife. But if Nick does manage to woo Leanne back, he’s going to have to fess up – because Nick’s got himself a new wife, and she’s set to arrive in Weatherrfield!
“It looks as if Nick’s new marriage hasn’t worked out – in fact, it seems so bad, he’s run away from his wife!” says our cobbles insider. “She’s not happy about being abandoned, and he’s in for a shock after she tracks him down. But the question is: how far has he got his feet under Leanne’s table? And how will she react when he reveals he’s gone and got hitched again? With two scorned exes on the Street, life could soon get very difficult for Nick…”
While the newcomer is set to ruffle a few feathers, she certainly can’t compete on the history Nick and Leanne have! After all, the couple originally married as teenagers, then wed again back in 2013. Jane Danson, who plays Leanne, is delighted that Ben Price – aka Nick – is heading back to the cobbles, and is even hoping that it could turn out to be third time lucky for the pair! “I’m really pleased,” says Jane of Ben Price’s return as Nick. “Ultimately, Nick is the love of Leanne’s life – they’ve been through so much. They were teenage sweethearts and his mum, Gail, hates her. It’s always been like Romeo and Juliet! So, I would love it if they could settle down for good. Sometimes people do end up happy on Coronation Street!”
