Sara I’ve just finished The Handmaid’s Tale.
I’m obsessed with it, but it feels so palpable, and that terrifies me! Not necessarily the infertility aspect of it, I just feel that in a Trump world there is so much divide – it feels so possible.
Christian I’ve only seen the French
& Saunders version, with Dawn French wearing a massive white cap where she can’t see anything!
Sara Maybe I should watch that instead – this gives me anxiety every Sunday!
Christian I’m watching The Alienist on Netflix at the moment. That’s quite dark and deals with similar issues. I love those sorts of Gothic shows, and there’s medicine in it, even though I don’t usually watch shows that have anything to do with medicine! Sara For a more relaxing show, I love Catastrophe. But for something really light-hearted, I have to go for Love Island.
Christian My other half racked up a £100 phone bill downloading apps for Love Island! And apparently it doesn’t even cost you anything to vote!
Sara I’m in a Love Island group chat, there’s about 50 of us on there, and they’ve been watching Love Island
Australia. I haven’t started it yet, but
I’ve been told it’s great.
Christian My wind-down show is Kath
& Kim – I’m doing the whole thing again on Netflix. That’s my guilty pleasure… Actually, I’m not guilty about it at all, it’s a pleasure. It’s genius!
