Mary sees through Jude’s lies

There’s horror for Mary this week, when Jude shows his true colours during a devastating showdown!
The desperate fella has been lying for weeks, pretending to be the one who saved Roy from certain death and claiming the rewards of ‘his’ efforts. Worse still, he’s also been telling her and his wife Angie that he’s enrolled on a paramedics’ course and plans to start a new career. But his lies unravel after Mary proves the whole thing is a sham, so she confronts deceitful Jude.
“Nobody wants to believe the worst about their child, but Mary’s about to see the dark side of Jude,” warns our Corrie insider. “He’s a desperate man and will do anything to save his marriage to Angie. For years, he spun a web of lies about his work as a marine biologist, so he’s used to keeping up a façade. Even Mary won’t stand in his way.”
Warning bells start to ring for Mary as Yasmeen is shocked to hear that Jude has been offered a place at university to train as a paramedic. She explains that he fainted at the sight of blood, which confuses Mary. Things become clearer after the university Jude is allegedly attending rings his mobile and Mary picks up. She’s shocked to discover that he walked out on the exam!
Mary is then forced to hold her tongue when a journalist from the Good Samaritan Awards comes to interview Jude and Roy about what happened on that fateful day. Despite knowing that Ali was the one who saved Roy, Jude maintains the story, and
Mary feels ashamed to see him lie so easily. And when she discovers the £5,000 cheque that grateful Roy gave Jude to fund his training, Mary realises he’s willing to swindle one of her dearest friends, so she tells him that she will reveal all!
“Jude won’t let the truth out without a fight,” explains our spy. “He has to keep Mary
quiet, or his marriage will be over! Jude loves his mum, but she’s standing between him and getting his life back. He’s got to get her on side.”
Mary now faces losing Jude all over again. How will their showdown play out?
