It’s Harry and Ste’s wedding day!
DARKNESS DESCENDS ON THE BOYS’ BIG DAY…
Harry and Ste’s dream wedding day is finally here this week – but in usual Hollyoaks style, it’s set to be a nightmare! So will spurned lover James ruin the occasion? Or are Ste and Harry destined to be?
While the village is decorated for the wedding, it seems the only thing that isn’t ready is one of the grooms – with Harry still on the fence about marrying Ste…
“Harry’s in two minds,” explains Parry Glasspool, who plays him. “He’s still waiting for James to say the magic words. In a way, he really hopes that James will come in to break it all up, so he doesn’t have to go through with it! Harry is very confused.”
It seems Harry may get his wish, though, as James – bitter at being Harry’s dirty secret – decides to sabotage the wedding! With Romeo’s help, James plots to expose Harry’s affair by planting photos of himself and Harry kissing in the guests’ gift bags. But if their secret is exposed, Harry knows it’s a big risk – and it’ll cause a lot of heartache.
“The problem is, Harry’s not just losing Ste, he’s losing
Leah and Lucas too,” sighs Parry. “And there’s the whole Dee Dee situation – he doesn’t want to break it off with Ste when Dee Dee’s dying. Everything’s really hard for the family, so Harry’s just thinking of all these different things.”
Harry and James have become pros at sneaking around, with only a select few knowing about their relationship. But with whom does Harry’s heart really lie?
“Harry must have feelings for James if he’s willing to break off the wedding,” points out Parry. “Just think of everything he’s going to be leaving behind – he’s definitely passionate about James.”
However, when it comes to the crunch, he just can’t bring himself to break Ste’s heart. So in front of the whole village, Ste and Harry get hitched! But Parry reckons that neither of Harry’s options are good ones. “Probably neither are the healthiest of relationships,” laughs Parry. “One’s just for sex – and the other’s a recovering drug addict!” Despite the ceremony running smoothly, there’s a storm brewing – literally as well as figuratively, with freak weather bringing chaos to the area – which spells trouble for the newly-weds.
“I was interested to see how it was going to go down,” Parry tells us. “I don’t usually ask about upcoming storylines, because I like to see for myself. But it’s nice to have a little concentrated week for it all to come to a head.”
Will Ste and Harry make it to their honeymoon? Or will divorce papers be served before the cake is cut?
