Chloe moves in for a kiss with Elly
HOW WILL SHE REACT WHEN CHLOE KISSES HER?
Elly is left flabbergasted this week, after her best mate Chloe moves in for a kiss!
The pair are sharing a fun, girlie afternoon together when the shock snog happens. But how will Elly react as it becomes clear that her boyfriend’s sister has a crush on her?
“It’s very unexpected – Elly never thought Chloe saw her like that,” confirms Jodi Anasta, who plays Elly. “And it’s obviously awkward, seeing as Elly is dating Chloe’s brother, Mark!”
The smooch comes about when Elly is having a terrible week anyway. She’s just lost her job at the school, thanks to new acting principal Jane Harris – and Chloe is on hand to cheer up her pal in the aftermath.
“Elly gets into trouble for what she wears,” explains
Jodi. “Jane is conservative, and her view of how teachers should act is very different from Elly’s! But Elly feels devastated and lost.
“She confides in Chloe because the two of them have a beautiful relationship – they really care about each other,” adds the star. “Plus, Mark is busy, whereas Chloe is there in that moment.”
After Chloe organises a fun afternoon to lift her best friend’s spirits, Elly is touched. However, the kiss sends her reeling – and she chooses not to tell Mark what’s happened…
“The kiss makes Elly aware of how she feels about Chloe – she starts thinking about her differently,” reckons Jodi. “She doesn’t tell Mark because she doesn’t want it to ruin their relationship, and she also wants to protect Chloe. I think she’s doing the right thing, as she doesn’t want to mess with that family dynamic.”
But not only does Elly fail to mention to Mark that she kissed his sister, she then gets down on bended knee and asks him to marry her!
“Elly wants Mark to know that whatever the outcome of his tests [for Huntington’s disease], she will be there for him,” Jodi tells us. “Mark’s so happy – he was actually going to pop the question himself, though he loves the gesture.”
As Mark and Elly flaunt their engagement in Chloe’s face, she’s heartbroken. But will this be the end of the matter, or could Elly end up in a love triangle with the siblings?
