Carla catches Roy sleepwalking
CARLA’S SHOCKED TO DISCOVER HIM WALKING THE STREETS IN HIS PYJAMAS…
Grieving Roy Cropper is still struggling to cope after the death of his mother – and this week, the poor fella is caught walking the streets in the middle of the night wearing his pyjamas, slippers and dressing gown!
It’s Carla who makes the shocking discovery, and she soon realises that Roy’s sleepwalking. As she tries to take charge of the situation by helping him back to his flat, confused Roy is barely aware of what’s going on. On getting him inside, his friend urges him to seek some professional help.
“Carla can see that it’s clearly the shock of Sylvia’s death which has brought this on,” reasons our
Corrie insider. “After all, it’s only been a matter of weeks since Roy lost his mother. And given that he wasn’t able to make it to the hospital before she passed away, he’s finding it even more of a struggle to come to terms with what’s happened.”
A little later, Roy admits to Carla that he’s having great difficulty in sleeping, and she notices how he seems unable to concentrate. Then, as Carla starts to tidy Sylvia’s belongings that Roy has scattered around the flat, she sees that Roy is so exhausted that he’s suddenly fallen asleep on the sofa. “Carla is very concerned,” frowns our spy. “Not just because of Roy’s physical state, but also because of the way he’s spending so much time infatuated with the mysterious inscription on his mother’s ring. While it’s natural for Roy to be preoccupied with thoughts of Sylvia, is he becoming obsessed?”

Hoping to solve the mystery of the inscription so that Roy can start to move on, Carla enlists Brian’s help – and Brian is soon assisting Roy in looking through local records in an attempt to uncover the truth. But will their search prove fruitless? And can Roy put his mind at rest, even if he can’t find the answers he seeks?
