Poor Rita will want to board up the Kabin and take refuge, with the news that a return is in the pipeline for nasty Rick Neelan – the villain who famously kidnapped her on her wedding day!
The Street stalwart was caught in the crossfire of Rick’s feud with her bridesmaid Tina Mcintyre, who had beef with Rick after he made her father Joe’s life a misery – and terrorised her boyfriend

Apart from Rita, all of Rick’s old adversaries are either dead or gone – so who or what brings him back to Weatherfield?
“Rick will be returning for a few months, and will be up to his old tricks by terrorising some of the local residents,” reveals our Corrie insider. “Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out who he’ll be targeting this time, but it’s safe to say that it is never good news for any of the characters when Rick is around.”
Actor Greg Wood – whom viewers may also recognise for playing hard man Trevor Royle in Hollyoaks
– is reprising the role, with Rick’s return due to air next month.
