We’re nursing a theory that Gogglebox is responsible, albeit unintentionally, for the fact that we’ve noticed a significant increase in the number of people who talk loudly over the film when we go to the cinema – maybe they’re convinced one of the show’s casting producers is in the auditorium too, scouting for talent. We’ll try not to hold that against the Bafta-winning series as it returns for a fresh run tonight, with its army of armchair critics ready to give us their unfiltered thoughts on the things the nation has been watching recently. Just promise you won’t copy them if you’re sitting behind us at the multiplex.
