There’s a bold new Coronation Street storyline on the way that could see Gemma fall pregnant with Chesney’s quadruplets, if reports are to be believed!

After months of ‘will-they-won’tthey?’, rampant Ches and Gemma have been making up for lost time. However, love’s young dream could be set to receive more than they bargain for – for the next 18 years at least – if Gemma learns she is expecting not one, but four of his children…

“Bosses hope the plot will inject some good old-fashioned humour into the show, and have viewers in stitches,” shares our cobbles spy. “Gemma doesn’t miss a trick, and thinks she can make some serious dosh out of her and Chesney’s unexpected news.”

Weatherfield chiefs are staying tight-lipped as to whether the gossip is true, but word is the frisky pair will incur the wrath of Gemma’s landlady, Rita, who tires of their bedroom antics and boots them out of her home. Although surely she will have a change of heart if Gemma is in the family way!

Meanwhile, Corrie would be the first British soap to ever feature quadruplets if Gemma has her kids. It is, of course, an extremely rare occurrence, with experts saying the chances of conceiving quads naturally is one in every 700,000.
