(Kim Hyde) revealed he almost quit Hollywood to return to the soap, after struggling for work 10 years ago. “I was at the stage of thinking, ‘I’m going to knock on Home and Away’s door, and ask them for a gig’,” he told Men’s Health.

The news comes just as Chris’ fellow Aussie movie star, Hugh Jackman, said that he was offered a part in Neighbours, before deciding against it to pursue a career in film.
