Hollyoaks newcomer Mitchell made quite an entrance into the village when he turned up as a stripper at the Dog! And actor Imran Adams, who plays the young doctor, reckons that getting his kit off was the best way to win over the audience…
Hi, Imran! What reaction did you get to Mitchell’s arrival?
It was pretty positive. A lot of people were confused as to who Mitchell is – but when they found out he was a stripper, they seemed to be onboard!
What sort of person is Mitchell?
He’s a family man – he’s actually come to the village to help out his mum financially, because she’s lost her job. It’s time for Martine to reconnect with her family. She wasn’t able to see her son grow up, and she regrets that.
What’s it like having Kéllé from Eternal playing your mum, Martine?
My mum was more excited about that than anything else! When I told her that I was in Hollyoaks, she was pleased, but it wasn’t that much of a reaction. Yet when I told her I was playing Kéllé’s son, she literally jumped out of her seat! She was a massive fan of Eternal.
Mitchell and Cleo go on a date this week – how does that go?
It’s a bit like some of the dates I’ve been on in the past, actually! Let’s just say it doesn’t go as planned, but it will be very entertaining to watch…
What else can we expect from Mitchell in the coming weeks?
There’s a big secret that will be revealed in due course – the audience will be shocked! The family dynamic will start to make more sense, in terms of why the Deverauxs have come to the village, and how they link up to the Lovedays. There are a lot of surprises to come!
