Sylver searches for his mother
SYLVER TRACKS DOWN HIS BIRTH MUM…
Sylver goes on the hunt for his biological mum this week, in the hope that she’ll attend his wedding – but he’s shocked at what he finds.
“Sylver and Mercedes are planning their big day, and Mercedes thinks that it would be a great idea if Sylver’s whole family is there,” reveals David Tag, the actor who plays Sylver. “So she suggests they look for his birth mother.”
However, not every member of the Mcqueens is pleased by this plan – with sinister Breda hiding a photo of young Sylver, hoping he’ll give up his search. But Goldie manages to find it, and she tracks down Sylver’s mother, Harriet…
“Sylver’s very nervous about meeting Harriet,” says David. “He has no memory of his mum, and knows nothing about her. All he has is the photo. Sylver has mixed emotions – he’s filled with excitement, yet he feels a bit guilty, because he doesn’t want Breda to feel as though she’s being replaced. The desire to meet his birth mother overpowers everything, though – so he decides to go ahead and see Harriet.”
But Sylver and Mercedes are both surprised when they see Harriet, and realise what state the woman is in.
“They find Harriet in a nursing home,” David tells us. “And let’s just say that nothing goes to plan! Harriet and Sylver start having a chat, although eventually Sylver gets frustrated and storms out of the place feeling quite upset.”
Despite Sylver not having the family reunion he was so desperately hoping for, David informs us that Sylver is still eager to form some kind of relationship with Harriet.
“Sylver would like to try again,” confesses the star.
“But Breda’s reluctant for him to do so, and she’ll continue to put him off. The rest of the Mcqueens are excited for him, though.”
To Sylver, Breda is just being protective – and he’s unaware there may be another reason for her behaviour…
“Sylver isn’t at all suspicious of Breda!” exclaims David. “He thinks that Breda’s just jealous – he’s oblivious to the fact that there might in fact be an ulterior motive behind her actions.”
