The BIG DEBATE!

HUNTER BECOMES THE HUNTED

-

Hunter’s wrongdoings finally caught up with him after Ray’s body was unearthed, and the teen was charged with murder. His arrest left mum Mel distraught – but our readers were much less upset…

Thank goodness Hunter is finally where he belongs – behind bars! Jack did totally the right thing by handing him over to the police, and I think – given time – Mel will come to realise it’s for the best as well. Her boy needs some professional help.

I’m glad Hunter is paying for his crimes, but my only disappointment is that Mel isn’t locked up with him!

She has no reason to stick around on the Square, and it’s not believable that the cops wouldn’t have found some kind of evidence to link her with Ray’s murder.

But some of you do have some sympathy for Hunter…

I did actually feel sorry for Hunter when he was arrested. That scene where he called Mel from the police station, crying his eyes out and begging her to help him made me realise that – underneath his tough persona – he’s just a scared little boy.

However, some readers reckon this story was wrapped up far too fast…

Was it just me, or did anyone else think that Ray’s murder was swept under the carpet very quickly, so Eastenders could swiftly move on? I don’t think I’ve ever seen Walford CID solve a murder case so promptly! I hope the cops involved get a nice bonus for their sterling work.

There’s a first time for everything, I guess.
