“She’s unravelling, that’s for sure, but I’m still ‘Team Breda’!”
Breda and Jack are planning to marry on the downlow this week – but will the couple get to say their vows after the serial-killer bride sets her sights on yet another victim?
“A Mcqueen wedding is usually a big circus, and
Breda doesn’t like a lot of fuss,” explains Moya Brady, who plays the murderous villager. “I mean, Breda’s a serial killer, she wants to keep everything low-key right now! The only people who know that the wedding is taking place are Breda and Jack.” Breda has invited her nearest and dearest to the Dog for a meal, under the
pretence of wanting to cheer up her lovesick daughter, Goldie. Yet little does Breda realise that Goldie is in fact mooning around after priest Joel! So, unaware of her daughter’s clandestine relationship, Breda invites Joel to lead her guests in prayer after the wedding ceremony.
“Breda thinks that Joel is a nice young priest,” Moya tells us. “She confided in Joel before about her worries and troubles, so she sees him as a good confidante – but I’m not sure she’s got that right!”
Breda soon needs Joel’s help with something else, though, after she overhears Mercedes making a shocking admission! And as the killer granny figures out her next move, she heads to the confessional booth for a little spiritual guidance.
“Breda’s doing a bit of cleaning, and she overhears Mercedes saying that Sylver can never find out about the affair,” reveals Moya. “Breda’s absolutely fuming! She realises that Mercedes is cheating on her son, and she wants to take her out! When it comes to Breda and her children, you don’t cross that line.
“She goes to the confessional looking for some advice, but of course Joel thinks that she’s talking about him!” adds the star. “Joel knows he has his hands in the till as well, so he thinks Breda has found out about him and Goldie.”
As it transpires, Breda is set to discover her daughter’s affair with the local priest in the worst possible way – when
“Breda’s fuming to realise Mercy is cheating on her son!”
she walks in on the pair in bed together!
“She’s seething – she goes off!” shares Moya. “She’s in shock, as she wasn’t expecting this at all. And she doesn’t know which one of them she’s more mad with – she feels really let down by both
Joel and Goldie.”
With murder in mind, Breda puts a halt to her and Jack’s wedding – and sets off to sort things out! But who does she have her eye on bumping off this time: Joel, Goldie, Mercedes, or all three of them?
“This is huge, and Breda has to deal with it,” reckons Moya. “There’s no time for a wedding when Breda has to put the world to rights!
“She’s unravelling, that’s for sure, but I’m still ‘Team Breda’ all the way,” adds the actress. “I would advise Breda to never surrender – I hope that she goes on the run with her dog Bronzer, and that the law never catches up with her…”
