Fiz has a chaotic homecoming

IT’S AN UNHAPPY HOMECOMING…

- Kate White

Fiz returns to the Street this week, to discover that Tyrone and Evelyn’s actions have led to a sit-in protest at the local school!

Ty is horrified when he realises that he’s forgotten to enrol Hope – who has been

at a specialist school with Fiz for the past few months – back at Bessie Street Primary.

In a desperate bid to put things right, the worried dad makes an appointment at the school and takes friend Brian, who was formerly the head teacher there, for support. Tyrone reckons it’s worth a try to beg the headmistress for help. However, when she confirms Brian’s suspicions that it’s too late, Ty’s grandma Evelyn takes drastic action.

“Evelyn likes nothing more than a good scrap!” laughs our Corrie spy. “She won’t let some jumped-up teacher tell her grandson that he can’t take his child there. Tyrone doesn’t know what she’s planning, so when she barricades them into the office and refuses to leave until the school meets their demands, he’s floored!”

Of course, this is just the moment that Fiz returns! Realising that her partner has messed up and now his gran is making it worse, Fiz despairs over how it will end. Meanwhile, Evelyn is having the time of her life, especially when the press pitches up to hear her story, and she gives them chapter and verse. Thankfully for Tyrone, Brian manages to pocket the keys and eventually puts an end to Evelyn’s madness!

As the dust settles, it’s soon clear that Evelyn has been enjoying having Ty and Ruby to herself while Fiz and Hope have been in Birmingham, and she’s not exactly relishing the return of her grandson’s wife.

Evelyn thinks Tyrone and Fiz are too soft – she reckons Hope needs a firm hand…”

“Evelyn thinks Hope would be better off in Birmingham, where she can’t bring strife to them,” says our insider. “That’s where she was receiving the schooling she needed, so that’s where she should stay, as far as Evelyn is concerned. Tyrone and Fiz are way too soft to manage her – Hope needs a firm hand, and Evelyn isn’t afraid to say so.”

Can Fiz and Evelyn manage to find a way to live together without falling out, and will Hope finally get a place in school?
