Shona can’t cope with Max
SHE VISITS DAVID AND IS STUNNED AT WHAT SHE DISCOVERS...
Stressed-out Shona turns to boyfriend David for help this week, as young Max’s behaviour gets worse.
Ever since his dad was locked up, Max has been acting up, and Shona is finding his behaviour unmanageable. At the end of her tether, Shona feels as if she has no choice but to tell David what’s been going on at home. Yet David has some insight that will leave Shona feeling wretched.
“It’s easy to forget that Max is a youngster who lost his mum in traumatic circumstances,” explains our Corrie spy. “It turns out that it was Kylie’s birthday last week, and Max is probably feeling her loss even more deeply than usual. David understands why Shona is so cross, but he asks her to cut Max some slack. Kylie’s loss changed their lives forever.”
As Shona leaves the prison, she feels terrible about giving Max a hard time. She finds him and asks him to forgive her for being so harsh, hopeful that the incident can be put behind
them. The problem is that David has no idea that Max’s actions aren’t just down to grief.
“No one has realised that Max isn’t taking his ADHD medication,” warns our sneak. “Without it, Max’s behaviour will spiral. If Shona thinks she’s seen the worst of it, she’s in for a massive shock.”
With David inside and Gail away, Shona’s already trying to cope with too much on her own. She needs support, but there’s none available and Max is going to challenge her. Can their relationship survive what’s to come, or will David return to a family divided and a son he doesn’t recognise any more?
