“Gary is concerned for Sheila’s wellbeing…”
There’s panic on Ramsay Street this week, as Sheila goes missing – and Gary blames himself for her disappearance! As the worried son organises a search party for his mum, Neighbours star Damien Richardson (Gary) tells us that his alter ego will never forgive himself if anything happens to her…
Gary and Sheila argued prior to her disappearance, so does Gary feel guilty about it all?
Most definitely – he was too hard on her. You think in the moment that you’re angry at someone, but when something like this happens you realise it wasn’t that important. So he’s concerned for Sheila’s wellbeing.
Once Sheila’s found safe and well, will Gary be prepared to forgive and forget?
Certainly. He’s wrought with guilt – the scenes where Sheila is found are very emotional. It was really enjoyable to film those. Gary is full of shame.
How is Gary coping with seeing his ex-fiancée Amy loved up with his son, Kyle?
It’s quite awkward, because Gary and Amy are still living in the same house! They’re always in each other’s company. There are times when it’s just Gary, Amy and Kyle together – and even though the competitiveness has gone, it’s not an enviable position to find yourself in.
Gary also has a second date with Gail this week. How does that go?
They make quite an entertaining and humorous couple – Gail takes a bit of a fancy to Gary and they go on a few dates. There seems to be a spark there, but let’s hope he doesn’t find out she’s Paul’s ex!
Do you think Gary will ever find true love?
I think he’s always going to be unlucky in love as long as his mum is around! Gary just needs to move out of home and cut that umbilical cord. I mean, what woman is going to think he’s a good prospect as long as he’s living with his mum?
