Daniel grows closer to Bethany

AS THEY GROW CLOSER, WILL THEY SUCCUMB TO TEMPTATION?

- Tom Spilsbury

Sinead and Daniel make plans for their upcoming wedding this week – but after a furious argument with his fiancée, Daniel finds himself tempted by Bethany! Surely he won’t risk everything by cheating on Sinead?

Tensions are strained between the engaged couple because Daniel suspects that Sinead isn’t putting her full energy into their wedding plans. When he reminds her that there’s only a week to go, she admits that she hasn’t even sorted out the witnesses! Is Daniel right to think that Sinead’s heart isn’t really in it?

“Daniel feels that Sinead is dragging her heels over the wedding, and can’t understand why,” despairs our Corrie insider. “She tells him that she’d rather have a low-key ceremony, which makes Daniel think that she’s pushing him away. Feeling bruised, Daniel accuses Sinead of putting her beard oil business before the wedding, and suggests that they just call the whole thing off! He doesn’t really mean it, but might their relationship fall apart over something so silly?”

Meanwhile, Bethany asks Daniel if he’d mind reading the article she’s written about grooming. She’s keen to get another opinion before sending it to the Weatherfield Gazette, and Daniel is flattered by her request. And once he’s given her work a thorough read, he’s very impressed, and showers her with praise. Bethany is thrilled by Daniel’s reaction, and sends her piece to the paper with renewed confidence.

Unfortunately, the Gazette’s editor isn’t quite so wowed by the article, and declines to print it. Bethany feels crushed – and when she tells Daniel what’s happened, he takes a rash course of action…

“Daniel makes a complaint to the editor!” gasps our mole. “He knows that Bethany’s written a great article, whatever the professionals think of it. However, Bethany is mortified when she finds out what Daniel’s done – he could have scuppered her writing career before she’s managed to get a single word into print!”

Bethany is definitely up for a snog – but will Daniel cave in?”

Daniel assures Bethany that he wasn’t trying to meddle – in fact, he only wants to support her. With that, Bethany softens, realising Daniel has her best interests at heart. And in that moment, as Bethany gazes into his eyes, there’s a spark between them, and it seems as if something could happen…

“They both feel the urge to kiss, even though they know they mustn’t,” tuts our spy. “That just makes the moment even more intense, and their hearts are thumping. Bethany’s definitely up for a snog – the question is, will Daniel cave in?”

Later, Sinead calls in at the Bistro and opens up to Daniel about how she’s scared to get married again, as last time it coincided with her cancer diagnosis. Her fiancé suggests that they cancel the wedding, at least for the time being.

However, as Sinead goes to leave, she spots an awkward glance from Daniel to Bethany. Has she picked up on the sexual tension between them?
