Ray. However, when she arrives at his hotel room and is greeted by the over-familiar bloke – who is wearing nothing but a bath robe – Michelle makes it clear that this isn’t the arrangement that she signed up for…
“Until now Ray’s seemed like a pretty decent guy, and has been nothing but straight-up with Michelle,” recalls our Weatherfield insider. “So to think that he has a hidden agenda is a huge blow for her – and, quite frankly, Michelle is left disgusted.
She thought that everything she achieved was on merit of her professional skills.”
Prior to the tycoon’s indecent proposal, Michelle is excited about the new business venture with Ray. However, the news doesn’t go down well with Michelle’s fiancé, Robert, who feels even more put out after Ray suggests holding Daniel and Sinead’s wedding reception (see p4) at his hotel, meaning that Robert’s services at the Bistro are no longer required.
Ray’s offer comes from a good place – his daughter also had cancer and, sympathetic to Daniel and Sinead’s situation,
he offers to pay for the couple’s big day. However, Robert can’t contain his anger and storms off to be with his secret fiancée, Vicky.
“Robert has kept Vicky at arm’s length and dodged resuming a sexual relationship,” our mole reminds us. “By not sleeping with Vicky, Robert was trying to remain faithful to Michelle. That’s not set to last much longer, though…”
While Robert is heading to the bedroom with other woman Vicky, Michelle is left stunned by Ray who claims that they make a great team,
