Bobby goes to live with Max

A DRAMATIC WEEK FOR YOUNG MASTER BEALE PROMPTS A VERY BIG DECISION…

- Laura-jayne Tyler

All hell breaks loose at No 45 Albert Square this week, as killer Bobby takes drastic action to put his violent past behind him once and for all.

Since returning to Walford having served three years in a young offenders institution, for grievous bodily harm and the unlawful killing of his sister, Lucy, remorseful Bobby has sought comfort from Islam in his mission to heal. However, as Ian’s son continues to be haunted by visions of Lucy – while also learning a sordid secret with regards to his father’s history with Rainie – desperate Bobby makes a decision that threatens to derail his road to recovery…

“Viewers are about to find out just how tortured Bobby’s soul really is,” warns our Walford insider. “He’s working so hard to find peace and to give his life purpose, meaning and structure – and that’s no easy task for anyone, least of all for a boy who’s living in the house where he killed his sister.

“It doesn’t help that his dad, Ian, is struggling to understand Bobby’s decision to convert to Islam,” adds our source. “That, coupled with the fact the Beale house currently resembles a zoo, with Rainie and the drama that she brings, has not helped Bobby at all.”

It’s Rainie who provokes Bobby’s blow-up, after the troubled teen gets wind of her seedy past with Ian. Years ago, when Rainie was on the game, Ian was a paying customer – and the pair had actually slept together on the night Lucy died.

Upon finding out the truth – while still battling hallucinations of his dead sister – Bobby is distraught, and responds by throwing a bucket of water over his disgraced dad. Bobby storms off, and Max – who’s seemingly got over his own beef with Bobby – urges Ian to calm down and find the courage to be upfront with his son.

Bobby is preparing to leave Albert Square completely, before Ian catches up with him and persuades him to stay. However, as Bobby struggles to fight his demons, they finally get the better of him – which leads to shocking scenes unfolding at the Beale house…

“The events at No 45 leave Ian feeling totally bereft and at a loss as to how he can help his son,” explains our mole. “Max tries to offer him some advice, but after Ian shoots him down, Max drops the bombshell that he’s agreed to let Bobby stay with him. Well, you can just imagine how that goes down!”

As Bobby goes to live with his father’s arch-nemesis, is the damage that exists between him and Ian beyond all repair? And will Bobby ever find inner peace?
