Jonny & Stuart carry out their plan

STUART AND JONNY PREPARE THEIR FINAL PLAN…

- Alice Penwill

Carnage will be unleashed in Hollyoaks village this week, as Stuart and Jonny prepare to put their horrific plan into action. But what will be the terrible consequences – and can Ste see the error of his ways?

“It’s definitely the biggest thing Jonny’s gotten himself involved in,” reveals Ray Quinn, who plays him. “It doesn’t just affect him, it extends so much further – the whole village will feel the aftermath of this.”

The week begins as

Stuart and Jonny deliberate about involving Ste in their dangerous plan. Given the fact that Ste has ruined their previous plots on several occasions, will they agree to let him in on the secret?

“The goal with getting Ste involved in the first place was to grow the group,” explains Ray. “But I don’t think Stuart trusts Ste. It’s Jonny trying to prove himself, saying, ‘Believe me, Ste’s got this’. He wants to impress Stuart, just like Ste was trying to please Jonny for so long – that’s how the grooming process works.”

Later on, Ste discovers that Sinead is engaged to Sami and immediately sees red. Soon, Ste agrees to take part in Stuart’s big plan, much to Jonny’s delight.

“All Jonny has is Stuart, and he doesn’t want to let him down,” sighs Ray. “I think that Jonny’s testing Ste with this, as if to say, ‘How far are you willing to go for this cause?’”

But when Stuart puts a spanner in the works, Jonny takes it upon himself to move forward with the plan without his mentor – leading to disastrous consequences…

“Jonny feels as if he needs to commit,” reveals Ray. “So when Stuart changes the plan after all his dedication that he’s shown, Jonny throws his toys out the pram without any thought whatsoever.”

The plan Stuart and Jonny have will shock everyone in the village – and Ray admits that he would like this to prompt a change for his alter ego.

“When I read the scripts, I realised Jonny has turned a bitterly evil and hateful corner,” he says. “I’m hoping he has an epiphany, but I don’t know if that’s a step too far for him. There’s always a choice with these things – it’s just realising you have that choice…”
