SUPERGRANNY

Charity in Emmerdale needs to cut poor Sarah some slack! I know she’s been left in charge of her while Debbie’s away, but given everything that Sarah has been through in her short life, she really deserves to have some fun. Besides, it’s not as though Charity pays that much attention to her own kids!

When did Charity get so grown up?

I’m glad Ste has finally seen his new ‘friends’ for who they really are, but I’m sad that he’s hurt so many people in the process. They may never forgive his terrible actions, and he needs help if he’s ever to get away from this group.

It was so uncomfortable to watch Jonny’s behaviour in the aftermath of the explosion – him refusing

to let Misbah treat him, then demanding a ‘British’ nurse in the hospital. But good on Misbah for doing her duty and treating him anyway, even though he’d seriously injured her daughter Yazz.

It’s uncomfortable, but this story needs to be told…

I didn’t know much about far-right extemism before this storyline played out, but it’s really opened my eyes. It has shown how easy it is for groups like this to prey on vulnerable young people, especially if they don’t have a good support network around them. Even if this plot helps one person to realise that they’ve been groomed – and prompts them to get out – Hollyoaks has done a good job.

| Geoff, Leicester You’ve got to give credit to Ray Quinn [Jonny] and Kieron Richardson [Ste] – they must be getting so much abuse for their characters’ actions! They’ve done a great job of acting out what must have been a really difficult plot.

Let’s hope Ste has the chance to redeem himself now…
