James spirals out of control!
THE NIGHTINGALES WATCH IN HORROR AS HE TEETERS ON THE EDGE…
James spirals out of control this week, and threatens to throw himself off the archway! With the death of ex Harry hanging over him, can James be rescued from the brink?
Following the discovery of Harry’s death, James drowns his sorrows with drinking and partying. That is until concerned Marnie puts a stop to his destructive behaviour…
“James is out until all hours, drinking in excess and it’s obviously all a huge cry for help,” explains Lysette Anthony, who plays Marnie, James’ mother. “Marnie is hearing this loud and clear, but James won’t let her help. He’s an absolute nightmare to live with – there’s a real warmth in the flat, yet James keeps ruining it – so he’s out!”
Lysette tells us that the revelation of Harry’s murder has not only taken its toll on the Nightingale family, but also the village as a whole.
“They’re all in shock and traumatised,” shares the star. “The Nightingales were all very fond of Harry – he was a big part of their lives. They all believed that he did something terrible, but the way that he died was just awful. It’s an extremely unhappy time.”
However, James suffers the most – and after being kicked out of his home by Marnie, he climbs on top of the archway! Realising that he’s planning the worst, Marnie, Romeo and Juliet rush to find him…
“It’s a very terrifying moment that they’re all left with,” Lysette informs us. “James is standing right on top of the barricade, and Marnie’s been in this situation before with Alfie. It’s very, very real – and James is also drunk and clearly distressed. Marnie is absolutely powerless, and like most people when they find themselves powerless, it isn’t a great place to be.”
Lysette says she’s not sure her alter ego would cope if the worst happened…
“Marnie wouldn’t know what she’d do if she lost him,” she sighs. “James is her first born and the love of her life.”
Can the Nightingales save James? Or will Harry’s untimely demise see James pushed over the edge?
