DANIEL’S FUNERAL BREAKDOWN!
He flees Sinead’s send-off with baby Bertie...
Shock scenes currently being filmed will see it all becoming too much for heartbroken Corrie widower Daniel, with reports that he’s set to flee his wife Sinead’s funeral with little Bertie in tow.
In the wake of his wife’s death, Daniel will struggle with life after Sinead, coupled with the repsonsibilty of being a sole parent to their infant son.
“Daniel is so young for so much tragedy,” sighs our Corrie spy. “We’ve already seen how he’s struggling to cope with Sinead’s diagnosis, so we can only imagine how badly her death is going to hit him. The full weight of caring for Bertie alone is also going to test him – but will that give him the strength to keep going for his son’s sake, or will the life-long responsibility overwhelm him?”

Gascoyne were spotted filming on location, in an episode where Peter tracks down Daniel after he goes missing on the day of the funeral, and desperately tries to get through to his younger brother.
The scenes see Peter grow increasingly frustrated with Daniel, but can he talk him round?
“Daniel may feel at times there’s nothing left to live for, but of course there’s always Bertie,” says our insider. “Part of Sinead will live on in their little boy – but can Daniel cope with this reminder of what he’s lost day in, day out? The grieving lad needs his family more than ever, so hopefully some straight talking from Peter will help him come to terms with the future…”
