Honey buries her head in the sand

WILL SHE EVER CONFRONT CHEATING ADAM OVER HIS AFFAIRS?

- Tom Spilsbury

Honey stubbornly buries her head in the sand this week, in spite of the mounting pile of evidence that her fiancé Adam is a serial cheat. But will she be forced to face up to facts when the situation comes to a head at the Vic’s Halloween party?

It’s been clear to Honey for quite a while now that her man has been playing away from home, although she’s still stuck by him. Even when Habiba straight-up admitted that she’d had an affair with him, Honey seemed unmoved – despite Habiba’s additional revelation that Adam has now moved on to yet another woman. So, just what will it take for Honey to finally see sense, and rid herself of the terrible love cheat?

“The trouble is, Honey yearns for stability in her life,” muses our Walford insider. “Despite the fact that Adam is bedding other women, left, right and centre, he always comes back to Honey in the end. Plus, he’s great with her kids – William and Janet – and as a dentist, he has a stable, well-paid job. He might not be able to keep it in his trousers, but in every other sense he’s been a rock for Honey – and you certainly can’t say that about her ex, Billy!”

Meanwhile, Mariam decides to confront Adam about his affair with Habiba, and later admits to her granddaughter that she blames herself for his selfish actions. However, this annoys Habiba, who still hasn’t forgiven Adam for the appalling way he treated her.

Undeterred, Mariam tries speaking to Honey herself about the affair, and tells her all about Adam’s infidelity. However, Honey also reacts angrily, denying everything, and accusing Mariam of trying to split the pair of them up!

But Honey is shocked by what Mariam says next, which gives her food for thought…

As Halloween arrives, it’s the day of the Vic’s fancy-dress party – and everyone in the Square is getting excited by the prospect of dressing up. Everyone except Adam, that is, who tries to back out of going. Does he instead plan to meet another woman?

Adam can’t keep it in his trousers – but he’s been Honey’s rock…”

“Honey tells him in no uncertain terms that he’s going to the party with her, and that’s final,” emphasises our source. “She has their matching ‘mer-folk’ costumes all planned – and there’s no way she’s letting him out of her sight!”

While at the party, Adam apologises to Honey for being away so often, and suggests that they all go on a family holiday together, which thrills his fiancée. However, when Habiba turns up in the Vic, Honey notices Adam shooting her a glance, leaving her feeling tearful. Landlord Mick soon spots Honey’s distress, and hatches a plan to try to cheer her up.

But is there any way that she can ever truly be happy if she chooses to stay with unfaithful Adam?
