Daniel finds comfort in Bethany
AS BETH ACCUSES HIM AND BETHANY, HE DECIDES TO GO…
When Sinead’s Aunt Beth discovers Bethany offering comfort to Daniel in Victoria Gardens this week, she lets rip – furious at how close the pair seem to have become over the past few weeks, while Sinead was dying.
With Daniel kissing Bethany in the hours before his wife Sinead’s death, the Street is already awash with gossip. So will his family and friends turn against him, or will they understand his actions? Whatever else happens, Daniel is unable to cope with the pressures, and announces to his family that he’s taking baby Bertie on a holiday to Scotland…

When Daniel hears that Evelyn has been laying into Bethany in the corner shop, however, he’s quick to defend her. Sinead’s Auntie Beth is outraged when she finds out – but after she walks in on Bethany and Daniel looking cosy together in the gardens, she really loses her rag!
“Beth never minces her words – and she wastes no time in making her feelings very clear,” reveals our sneak. “Both Daniel and Bethany feel the full force of her fury, as she boldly accuses the pair of having an affair before tragic Sinead is even cold in the ground!”
Devastated by Beth’s accusations, Daniel can take no more. Reckoning it’ll be good to get away from the very place he lost Sinead, he tells his nearest and dearest that he and Bertie are off to Scotland for a much-needed break. But is being away from those who care for him really the most sensible course of action?

As Beth watches Daniel leave, she’s horrified that he’s taking her godson away, and worries that he won’t ever come back. Yet might a short spell of time away on his own help Daniel to start facing up to a future without Sinead?
