Hello Bradley! How’s Vinny feeling about the trouble he and Mandy are in this week?

Vinny has more of a conscience than Mandy, so there’s been a point where he’s felt that they’ve needed to stop what they’re doing. With the Dingles he feels he’s finally found somewhere he fits in – he’s always been on the run with Mandy before – and he wants to be secure.

It’s been hinted that Vinny might be even more conniving than Mandy, though – could that be true?

Well, he has been brought up by Mandy, and she’s taught him everything he knows! Initially we saw him as a bumbling character – but there’s a lot more to him than meets the eye, and we’ll see his true colours coming out…

What’s the best thing about playing Vinny?

Obviously working with Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy. But he has different sides to him. While I can’t go into detail, he’s a bit on the dark side, and a bit Bradley Johnson (aka Vinny) admits there’s more to his character than meets the eye… on the funny side. He has a lot of personalities! But he chooses which one he plays.

Having Lisa playing your mum must be wonderful?

She was an absolute dream from the moment I started at Emmerdale. We had a coffee and a chat on my first day, and we’ve created a connection between us. She’s a friend for life, now!
