Linda is breathalysed and arrested, while Mick makes plans for the Vic’s wife-swapping competition!
SHE’S BREATHALYSED AND FOUND TO BE OVER THE LIMIT…
Linda’s drinking problems are blown into the open this week, when she is breathalysed by the police, and arrested for being intoxicated while in charge of a vehicle!
Mick’s loyal wife has found herself becoming increasingly dependent on alcohol over the past few months, which has so far mostly gone unnoticed by her friends and family. However, it seems that she faces a tough task keeping her habit secret for much longer, as she could find herself up in front of a judge…
“Linda has crossed the line between recreational drinking and developing a serious addiction,” frowns our Queen Vic insider. “And the awful thing is, she doesn’t even realise quite how severe things are getting. So when she wakes up on Monday morning with a heavy hangover, she tries to brush it off, because she has to take Ollie to school. But that proves to be a mistake she’ll regret!”
Linda is forced to do the school run, as Mick has to instead attend a doctor’s appointment. Despite feeling poorly, Linda bundles Ollie into the car, and drives the short distance over to the school. However, as she tries to reverse into a narrow space, Linda’s vehicle accidentally backs into another parked car, leaving its front bumper precariously dangling off!
Having despatched little Ollie, Linda takes a huge risk, and speeds off without leaving her details – convinced that no one has witnessed her dangerous driving. Unfortunately, she’s in for a nasty shock…
“You’d generally think of Linda as being the most law-abiding citizen you could ever hope to meet,” considers our snitch. “This is a side of her you’d have never expected to see. Tragically, she makes a rash decision on the spur of the moment.

By driving off and not making any attempt to contact the owner of the other car, she’s made the situation a hundred times worse!”
Later, at the end of the day, Linda emerges from the school to see fellow mums Meiko and Shelley waiting outside with two police officers. Red-faced Linda is challenged over the damage to the car, and is forced to take a breathalyser test. Moments later, she’s aghast when the device indicates that she’s over the safe limit, and is arrested by the officers for drink-driving!
“Linda is utterly ashamed,” gasps our mole. “Chantelle tries to give her some moral support, but how can she ever look any of the other mums in the eye again? She’s desperate to stop her family from finding out about her humiliation, but how likely is it that she can keep her guilt hidden, when she’s about to become the hottest bit of gossip at the school gates?”
As Linda is taken away by the police, she goes to pieces. Will she be formally charged for her indiscretion? And if so, what will the consequences be for her?
