Mick & Mitch put on a nativity

MICK AND MITCH HOST AN ALTERNATIVE NATIVITY…

-

There’s excitement in the Vic this week, when Walford’s youngsters stage a special nativity performance.

Mick’s determined to put on a show after little Ollie misses out on being cast as the lead in the school’s nativity play.

The loving dad wants to give his son the chance to shine, and enlists pal Mitch to help make Ollie’s stage dreams a reality. But given their lack of theatrical experience, it looks as though the duo may be lost – until Bailey steps in.

“It remains a mystery why people don’t immediately go to Bailey if they have a problem, she’s the wisest person in

Walford!” laughs our Square spy. “While Mitch and Mick are trying to think up an alternative nativity idea and sort out a script, Bailey’s already penned a new classic and is ready to roll. It’s a huge relief when they realise that Bailey’s Christmas tale is the perfect alternative to the traditional story. Now, the show can go on.”

It turns out that Bailey’s play was originally her entry for a Christmas competition, and is just right for what Mick has planned. Yet, as negotiations get under way to secure the rights to use the youngster’s story, Bailey plays hardball with the desperate adults. It falls to legal eagle Gray to come up with a contract that meets writer Bailey’s approval, and gives Mitch and Mick the material they need to make their stage production fly. So, as performers including Janet, William, Mia, Lexi and Bailey join Ollie in the cast, it looks as if Mick might just pull this off.

The kids’ charming performance melts even the coldest of hearts…”
