Gary discovers Derek’s treachery
RYAN AND DEREK HAD BETTER BE CAREFUL…
Dangerous Gary gets serious about business this week, as Ryan begs to work off his debt and Derek tries to double-cross the murderous moneylender.
Gary decides to bring troublesome Ryan back into the fold after he struggles to meet his payments. Although it’s been a disaster before, Gary reluctantly agrees to let Ryan do jobs for him instead of handing over money and sends him out on a trial task. But as Ryan is falling into line, Gary’s furious to learn Derek’s gone rogue, and is trying to sell the factory behind his back. What will vengeful Gary do?
“The good guy that Gary used to be is now just a distant memory, especially when people turn on him – he goes nuclear!” warns our cobbles insider. “He’s been so focused on Ryan that he didn’t realise Derek was up to no good, and now he’s going to come down on him like a ton of bricks. What’s breathtaking is that Derek believes he has the upper hand!”
Gary uncovers Derek’s scam when Izzy inadvertently drops her new fella in it. He’s offered to sell the factory to Nick and Sarah, but wants them to front up £10k to secure the deal. The Underworld bosses go to their factory shareholders to ask for everyone to club together to come up with the cash. And so, without the funds to make her share,
Izzy turns to Gary for help. He can’t believe it when she reveals that Derek is willing to sell the building when it doesn’t even belong to him. If Gary lends the money to Izzy, he’s effectively paying out to buy his own property! But when Gary confronts Derek, the shady businessman decides to call his bluff.
