“Nancy’s life turns to rubbish!”

Jess Fox tells us that her alter ego doesn’t have a good year ahead of her...

- Alice Penwill

Hi, Jess! So, Nancy delivers Darren with divorce papers at Christmas! Why has she decided to do this?

Nancy just wants to move forward with Kyle, and she wants to leave Darren firmly in 2019. But he’s not happy and storms around saying, “I regret leaving you!” Nancy sees a future with Kyle, though – she wants to commit to him, and she’s done with Darren!

Nancy hosts a New Year’s Eve party, and reveals that she and Darren slept together…

Then in typical soap fashion, she decides to do it in front of everybody! Nancy just wants to put it right, and she has quite a big thing this year about leaving mistakes in the past and looking towards the future. But Kyle’s there, and he’s devastated – he feels utterly betrayed, and Nancy’s understandably very upset about it.

Can you tell us a bit of what’s coming up for Nancy next year?

Nancy will end 2019 with exciting news – there might be a new addition to the Osbornes, and everything’s looking rosy. But very quickly, as with everything in Nancy’s life, it all turns to rubbish!

We know she’ll be involved with the drug-dealing storyline…

Nancy almost has her foot in two camps with this. It will kick off quite early in the new year, when something awful happens to her and she’s sort of completely unaware that it’s connected to Charlie, and her focus shifts to the school…

Hollyoaks will be giving us a flashforward to next New Year’s Eve – that must take a serious amount of planning…

Well, no one’s allowed a haircut for the next 12 months! And our make-up department has a big job ahead of it. So those of us who feature in the

flashforward episode have had about a thousand photographs taken of us so that we can look exactly the same – it’s all down to them really!

And what are your plans for Christmas this year?

It’s a family Christmas – my niece is coming up with my sister, and I have the opportunity to live Christmas through the eyes of a five-year-old, which is the best way possible.

How about in the new year?

Well, I’m getting married next year, which is exciting – a big year for me! It’s a 2020 wedding, so there will be lots of planning and sitting down and doing sums for a while.
