Charlie causes trouble for Tim

NOW EVERYONE KNOWS HE’S A BIGAMIST...

- Kate White

Feckless Tim fails to get signed divorce papers off wife Charlie this week – leading to her having a showdown with his other missus, Sally!

Tim’s plan to divorce the woman he didn’t know he was actually married to isn’t going well – particularly since Charlie has started working at the

Rovers, moved into his home, and demanded £5,000 off him. With Tim desperate for her to be gone and the papers signed before Sally returns from her trip to sister Gina’s, time is ticking. However, Charlie isn’t making it easy.

“It doesn’t matter what Tim does, Charlie seems in no hurry to divorce him!” laughs our Coronation Street insider. “That’s ironic, since Sally – the wife he actually wants – is so angry that she’s tempted to end their relationship! There seems to be a glimmer of hope when Charlie goes for a position at Gatwick Airport, but Tim’s working on a tight deadline.”

Despite insisting that the Gatwick gig is in the bag, Charlie drags her feet when Tim pushes the papers at her again. Even worse, Sally returns home still cross, and Tim lies to her that the divorce is in the bag. However, things implode as Charlie summons Tim to the Rovers and tells him that she wants the pair of them to give their marriage a chance – just as Sally walks in and witnesses the whole exchange!

“This is Tim’s worst nightmare!” reveals our snitch. “Sally’s distraught because now everybody knows that Tim’s a bigamist – including Charlie! She’s stunned to hear that she isn’t the only Mrs Metcalfe, and Tim is convinced that she’ll report him to the police. Whatever happens now, Tim will be spending a lot of time saying sorry!”

Following the Rovers showdown, Sally is in a foul mood, particularly when she realises how Tim’s told more lies and made things so much worse. If he’d just owned up and been honest with Charlie,

It doesn’t matter what Tim does, Charlie seems in no hurry to divorce him…”

this unfortunate situation could have been avoided. Now he’s in deep trouble and Sally is left feeling like a laughing stock. There’s even more disappointment ahead, though, as Tim explains that he’s gone to the police and confessed everything, hoping that his honesty will see them go easy on him.

Will Sally be impressed by his bravery, or is Tim about to lose two wives in a day?
