Desperate mum Sharon steals Kathy’s keys to the Mitchell house this week, in a frantic attempt to make contact with her son, Dennis!
The teenager has refused to speak to his mother ever since the truth about her fling with Keanu was revealed, instead opting to take the side of his adoptive dad, Phil.
With the Mitchells closing ranks to stop Sharon having any contact with her son, the mum has been left absolutely bereft – and determined to go to any lengths necessary to get to her boy…
“Sharon has lost everything – her husband, her home, her money – but what hurts the most is losing her son,” reveals our Walford insider. “She knows she did wrong by cheating on Phil, and lying about the paternity of her unborn baby, and she’s willing to take any punishment that comes her way. But turning her beloved boy against her is a step too far in Sharon’s view, even for a monster like Phil.”
The only person on the Square who’s shown Sharon any sympathy in the wake of her life imploding is her oldest friend, Ian. Even when his mum Kathy protested about him letting Sharon stay, and forced him to choose between them, Ian stood by his pal, prompting Kathy to move into the Mitchell house with her other son, Ben.
Tensions escalate between Kathy and Sharon once again when Kathy drops by the Beale home to check on her grandson Bobby. Sharon’s already received some bad news from spiteful Shirley earlier in the week, and is in no mood for yet another lecture from Kathy.
When Kathy realises Bobby is struggling at home without her, though, she decides to move back in. But as Kathy’s busy making plans, Sharon takes the opportunity to swipe her door keys to the Mitchell house – and breaks in!
“All Sharon wants is contact with her son, even for a few moments,” laments our mole. “It’s breaking her heart to be apart from him, and she reckons that if she can just explain her side of the story, she can make Denny understand why she did what she did.”
Before Sharon gets the chance to properly put her plan into action, however, Kathy catches her nemesis red-handed! There’s a rare moment of understanding between the two women, as Kathy urges Sharon not to make the same mistakes that she did with her kids.
And later, after some words of advice from Bobby, Kathy decides to take matters into her own hands…
