Ned & Yashvi have a stalker!
THEY’RE BEING STALKED BY A VIOLENT GANGSTER…
Ned’s past comes back to haunt him this week, when one of the gang members from the illegal fight ring he was involved in issues threats against him and Yashvi!
Wannabe cop Yashvi has already helped to take down the ringleader of the fight club, Kane, who is now in jail. So what does new guy Zenin want with Ned and his girlfriend?
“Zenin is under the impression that Ned and Yashvi are on to his illegal operations, which were taking place behind the scenes at the fight club,” explains Ben Hall, who plays former fighter Ned. “Zenin threatens to hurt Yashvi, and anyone Ned is close to, if either of them goes to the cops.”
With Zenin’s threats hanging over him, Ned turns to Paul for advice. But can he offer Ned any words of wisdom?
“Paul is Ramsay Street’s original gangster, so who better to get advice from about nefarious activities?” chuckles Ben. “He advises Ned to strong-arm Zenin – he thinks Ned should call his bluff.”
Needing more info about who he’s dealing with, Ned cancels a date with Yashvi to visit Kane in prison. And after Kane’s intel helps Ned to work out exactly what Zenin is up to, he opts to follow Paul’s advice.
“Ned lies to Zenin,” says Ben. “He tells him that his lawyer has a written account of everything Ned saw in the warehouse, and that if anything happens to his loved ones, Toadie will give it straight to the cops. Ned’s trying to keep everyone safe, but the lie quickly gets out of hand.”
Ned is clearly dealing with a very dangerous criminal – but Ben insists he loves working with ex-home and Away star Axle Whitehead (Liam Murphy), who plays Zenin…
“Axle is a legend – we’d worked together before, so it was great to see him again,” grins Ben. “He’s brought great energy to Zenin, so I hope he’ll stick around for a while.”
And although this fight-club fiasco has been awful for Ned, Ben has loved acting out some of the more complex scenes.
“It’s been fun creating the fight choreography with the stunt coordinators,” he tells us. “There was a good buzz on set when we got to filming!”
