Leo takes his revenge on Whitney

TERRIFIED WHITNEY IS TRAPPED BY LEO, WHO IS HELL-BENT ON REVENGE…

- Allison Jones

There’s a horrific scene at Dot’s house this week, when stalker Leo emerges from his secret hiding place for a terrifying confrontation with petrified Whitney!

Still determined to avenge his abusive father Tony, Leo has been holed up in Dot’s loft for days, spying on oblivious Whit. But after getting his hands on a letter that Tony wrote to Whitney prior to his death, Leo can contain his vicious fury no longer…

“For Leo, now, all bets are off,” admits Tom Wells, who plays him. “He’s furious and heartbroken because he feels betrayed by Whitney. And he’ll stop at nothing to get what he considers to be the ‘truth’ about his father – by any means! As far as he’s concerned, his life’s purpose is to right the wrong that has been done to his family.”

With no idea that Leo has been skulking about right over her head, listening in to her conversations and watching her every move, Whitney is of course scared stiff when he suddenly appears in her bedroom. She’s already in bits having realised that the letter from Tony has gone missing, totally unaware that after Leo had overheard her confiding in Kat about it, he snuck down into the house to find it.

“Leo thinks that letter will be the single shred of evidence to prove everything,” shares Tom. “He’s convinced it would prove his father’s innocence, and that it would stand up in court.

Also, it’s a tangible thing from Tony – it’s something that connects him to his father – so to him, it could be everything.”

After Leo got his hands on Whitney’s log book – in which she’d kept a precise record of Leo’s sinister behaviour – Whit began to feel she was losing her battle against him. But then his hideous bid to force Whitney into telling everyone in the Vic

that she’d lied about being sexually abused by Tony failed miserably. And while Whit’s been hoping against hope that she’d never have to see him again following his humiliating expulsion from the pub by her friends, Leo refuses to give up.

“Whitney’s log book proves that she’s been leading Leo on and manipulating him, like she did with Tony – or so Leo thinks,” says Tom. “Until he found that book, he truly wanted to make amends with Whitney and be with her. But when he realised she’d been pretending to make up with him, he saw her deception as a way of defending his actions – giving him free rein to seek revenge.”

Now that Leo has Tony’s letter in his grasp, however, the consequences could be catastrophic – with either Leo or Whitney set to be left with blood on their hands, as their showdown reaches its shocking conclusion…

“There is no more pretence – everything is laid bare,” warns Tom. “Leo blames Whitney for everything that’s happened, but in the same breath he loves her. He feels he’s been duped by Whitney, which has thrown even more fuel on to the fire. Leo is a mix of emotions, that he’s struggling to contain…”
