Liberty goes for her 12-week scan
BUT CAN HE HAVE A FUTURE WITH LIBERTY?
Brody is over the moon this week, when he and Liberty go for her 12-week scan and see the first ultrasound of their baby. But beneath this happiness at seeing a new life growing, more complex feelings are churning…
“It’s an incredibly emotional time for Brody,” explains Adam Woodward, who plays the dadto-be. “You see, this is the baby he’s meant to be having with Sienna, and now she’s not here. But even with Sienna out of the picture, Brody has this baby on the way. He wants to be a dad more than anything, and he’s determined to be there for his child.”
With Sienna still on the run, and Brody and Liberty left to contemplate bringing up a baby without her, could this very emotional situation draw them together as a couple?
“Well, they’ve had a romance in the past, when Liberty first arrived,” muses Adam. “They had a relationship, albeit brief, so there’s a connection there. Plus, Liberty is the mother of Brody’s
child – and he can’t help but have an emotional bond with her.”
The fallout of Sienna’s disappearance almost causes Brody to miss the scan, having been caught up in the search for his sometime girlfriend with Warren and Joel. The unlikely allies are given a lead by Liberty, in the form of the address of Sienna’s great aunt. However, their journey only ends up taking Warren on a trip down memory lane…
“They believe Sienna might be staying with a relative,” says Adam. “But their search takes them somewhere from Warren’s past. There are a lot of memories for Warren, and a lot of places that he doesn’t want to revisit.”
So after hitting yet another dead end in their quest to find Sienna, the boys return to Chester, with Warren ever-hopeful that Sienna will come home sooner or later.
“I think Brody would rather be out looking for Sienna,” Adam tells us. “But ultimately, he realises that what Warren is saying is right. And as much as Brody thinks he knows Sienna, there’s a side to her that Warren knows better – her dark side.
“I wouldn’t say Warren and Brody are getting on that well,” adds the star. “There are times where they see eye to eye, but their personalities clash, which makes for some funny scenes.”
With Brody back in the village with the mother of his child, Liberty, Adam tells us
that his alter ego has a big decision to make…
“Brody’s left with a tough choice,” he sighs. “He either decides to keep searching for Sienna, or come to terms with the fact that she’s not coming back, and move on with his life.”
