Bethany is offered a job in London

SHE’S GIVEN THE COLD SHOULDER AT THE FACTORY – BUT OFFERED A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY ELSEWHERE…

- Kate White

“Beth is making Daniel and Bethany’s lives a misery…”

Sarah’s hen night ends in a tense stand-off this week, as enraged Beth accuses Bethany of stealing Sinead’s life! Will this be the final push that Bethany needs to leave the Street for a new path?

The tension kicks off when Sarah gives Bethany a job at the factory, and she’s not exactly welcomed with open arms by Beth. So as she’s later offered an opportunity in the media in London, Bethany’s thrilled at the prospect – although taking it up means leaving new love Daniel in Weatherfield…

“Who could blame Bethany for wanting to get away from Beth?” asks our Street spy. “She’s making Bethany and Daniel’s lives a misery. Beth thinks Bethany has swooped in to take her niece Sinead’s life, and making it her mission to shame Bethany whenever she can.”

Things are already uncomfortable for the ex-waitress following her courageous attempts to expose sex predator Ray.

He’s now blocking her ability to get a new job in catering, so mum Sarah steps in to give Bethany some work. She offers her the chance to head up the new sales team at Underworld, but that means working in the same place as Beth. Trying to deflect trouble, Sarah pointedly tells Beth that she needs to be civil to her daughter. However, in a matter of minutes, it’s clear that Beth is going to do no such thing!

To make things worse, Bethany learns she’s failed to win a place on a college writing course – leaving her dream of being a professional writer in tatters…

That’s until the college admissions officer calls with an exciting offer – the chance for Bethany to take an internship at a magazine in London. It’s a wonderful opportunity, and will get Bethany away from Beth’s vicious tongue and the disapproval of her relationship with Daniel. But it’ll also mean making their new relationship a long-distance one.

“Bethany has spent many months dreaming about being with Daniel, and her wish has finally come true,” explains our mole. “The trouble is that the reality of their situation doesn’t measure up to her hopes. It’s a tricky position, although Bethany’s feelings for Daniel are as strong as ever. If she leaves the Street, she risks losing him, and Bethany desperately wants a future with Daniel…”

Sarah is overjoyed to hear her daughter has been given this incredible chance. So, when Bethany reveals her fears over leaving Daniel and Bertie, mum Sarah worries. She’s concerned that Bethany might let her heart rule her head and give up the internship to stay by Daniel’s side.

Later, when Bethany tells Daniel that the college rejected her, his immediate reaction is relief that she won’t be leaving Weatherfield, so Bethany chooses not to mention the magazine offer. But as Daniel later hears about Bethany’s internship, he becomes anxious – and there’s a huge confrontation brewing that could change everything…

“Beth gets wind of Bethany moving to London and bursts into the Rovers, where Bethany’s celebrating Sarah’s hen do, to raise hell!” warns our source. “She thinks Bethany is going to drag Bertie and Daniel to the capital with her, and is ready to throttle her. It’s an ugly scene as Beth lets rip, humiliating Bethany and destroying Sarah’s night.”

With such bad blood continuing to blight their lives, Bethany and Daniel have some big decisions to make.
