Pierce whacks Kim over the head – but is she dead?
AS PIERCE AND RHONA COME FACE TO FACE, AND KIM IS CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE, IS THE KILLER SET TO CLAIM HIS NEXT VICTIM?
There are grisly scenes at Mulberry Cottage this week, as terrified Rhona attempts to rescue Vanessa and her young son Johnny from evil Pierce’s clutches! After receiving a frantic video call from Vanessa, Rhona is appalled when Pierce’s face looms up on her phone.
But when Rhona agrees to a meeting with her rapist ex, in the desperate hope of saving Vanessa and her boy,
Kim blunders in to their clandestine meeting. Is she set to become Pierce’s latest victim as he strikes her down?
“Rhona knows she has to go to the cottage because Johnny and Vanessa are with Pierce – and the only way they’re going to survive is if Rhona shows up and sacrifices herself,” explains Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona. “She is initially confused when Vanessa calls her, looking dreadful – but when Vanessa hands over the phone and there is Pierce, Rhona can’t believe it. She already suspects that Pierce is around, but she didn’t think in her wildest dreams that he’d kidnap Vanessa and Johnny…”
FLORAL DISMAY
Prior to her shocking discovery, Rhona goes to the police to tell them that Pierce has been stalking her. However, when they explain that they’re unable to take any action without further evidence, she’s left feeling frustrated…
“There’s been a bouquet of flowers delivered to Rhona, but the card for it has gone missing,” shares Zoe. “She just assumes that her son Leo’s taken it, or it’s
got lost in the craziness in the aftermath of losing Graham. But then the card turns up in one of Leo’s collages. Rhona realises that the flowers are from Pierce, and she can’t believe what she’s seeing.”
Rhona is now convinced that Pierce killed Graham and, without any assistance from the police, she turns to Kim and Al for help. Her allegation forces Al to admit to Kim that he lied about offing Graham himself, leaving Kim unexpectedly relieved…
“When Rhona reveals that it was Pierce who killed Graham, it comes as a complete shock to Kim,” says Claire King, as she takes up the story. “She’d been convinced that Al had done the deed on her orders. But then she starts to wonder whether Rhona is stable, and doesn’t know whether to believe Al, when he tells her his own version of events on the night Graham died.”
SHOCK TRUTH!
In a bid to get to the bottom of Rhona’s wild claim, Kim scans through old newspaper articles concerning Rhona and Pierce’s abusive relationship. As she’s investigating, Kim is stunned to realise that Pierce is ‘Ollie’ – the man she believed to be her solicitor! So Kim heads straight round to tell Rhona – who is secretly panicking over another message from Pierce, ordering her to pack a bag and meet him at Mulberry.
“Kim realises Rhona has told the truth about Pierce, and starts following her to find out more,” reveals Claire. “And when she sees her arriving at Mulberry Cottage – which Kim
owns – to meet Pierce, she wonders what the hell Rhona is doing. So she heads into the house, but soon after ends up in deadly danger herself!”
KIM AND GET IT
Feeling frightened and frantic, Rhona attempts to stall her departure with Pierce – desperately hoping to ascertain what has happened to Vanessa and Johnny before Pierce tries to head off. But her plan is interrupted when Kim arrives. Of course, she has no idea that Pierce is on the scene, and she demands that Rhona tells her what on earth is going on. But before Rhona can convince her to leave, Pierce sneaks up behind Kim and knocks her out!
“Pierce doesn’t hesitate,” admits Claire. “He’s already set her up once, by pretending to be her lawyer, so he’s not a fan of Kim Tate. And he certainly doesn’t care about her…”
Rhona can only watch in horror as Pierce drags Kim’s unconscious body into the bedroom and proceeds to tie her hands. And given that her crazed ex still hasn’t revealed exactly what has become of Vanessa and Johnny, Rhona is beside herself with fear.
But what is the next stage of Pierce’s plan? And will either Kim or Rhona live to see it?
