Horrified David will come under attack…
It seems poor David is heading towards rock bottom as the stress of Shona’s condition continues to take its tool – and to make things worse, the young dad will be set upon by a gang of vicious thugs who’ll hold him at knife-point!
Actor Jack P Shepherd, who plays David, was spotted filming on location for terrifying scenes that’ll see his alter ego surrounded and outnumbered by the group, which wants to mug him.
“David has been in some scrapes before, but he genuinely fears for his life when the mob pins him against a wall,” grimaces our Weatherfield insider. “He appears to try to reason with them, conscious that his kids Max and Lily are without their mum Kylie, who was stabbed and killed on the cobbles a few years ago. David will need to stay calm and think with a cool head if he stands any chance of getting out of this situation safely.”
David’s out walking and drinking by himself during the daytime when the youths threaten him. He’s had an awful time recently, crashing his car as a result of tiredness after travelling to and from Leeds to visit Shona – only for his confused wife to insist that she no longer wants to see him.
“David has form for hitting the selfdestruct button when he’s at a low ebb,” says our source. “So that could be why he finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time with these bullies.”
It looks as if David will have no choice but to fight back, merely so that he can make a dash for freedom. His attackers will give chase, and poor David will have to run for his life. Will Gail’s son escape? Or are the Platts doomed to receive a visit from the police with news of his tragic fate?
