Norris begs Ken for help
NORRIS IS DESPERATE TO ESCAPE STILLWATERS...
There’s a shock for Ken at his new home, Stillwaters, this week – when he discovers that Norris lives there too, and is desperate to get out!
Ken’s calmly settling in during his first days at the luxury residential complex, but it doesn’t take long for his peace to be shattered. When he steps in to replace Roger at Stillwaters’ Literary Society talk, Ken is stunned to see a familiar face in the crowd – Norris Cole. However, instead of rejoicing in their good fortunes at being neighbours again, Norris tells Ken that he’s living a nightmare with formidable fianceé Freda – and he can’t stand it a minute longer…
“Norris begs Ken to help him break free of this residential hell hole!” reveals our Corrie insider. “It might seem the lap of luxury, but Norris is living with a woman he no longer recognises. Norris tells Ken that Freda has changed dramatically since they moved in, and now he needs to break free! He even has to go covert while he speaks to Ken, and hide his lips so that Freda can’t read them!”
Ken’s initially bemused and then concerned by Norris’ claims. As far as he and Claudia can see, this is a perfectly lovely place full of interesting and charming people. But Norris warns Ken that there’s a dark force at work at Stillwaters – Charles Lake. He reveals that Freda is under Charles’ sinister spell, and that the fellow resident is ripping off everybody else.
His accusations spark Ken’s inner investigative reporter and he’s keen to learn more about Charles. But is Norris exaggerating, or could there be rampant corruption at the seemingly genteel mansion?
“It’s fair to say that Norris Cole isn’t the most reliable of sources,” laughs our spy. “Ken isn’t willing to dismiss him right away, though. Plus, Ken is sad to hear that his good friend is having such a terrible time.”
With both Claudia and Freda big fans of the community and all it has to offer, Ken will have his work cut out to help Norris. Also, Ken doesn’t want to make waves when he’s just moved in himself. But with Norris desperate for his help, and Ken with plenty of time on his hands, it seems they’ll end up in cahoots. Will Ken uncover Stillwaters’ dark depths?
