Yasmeen speaks to the police
BUT WILL SHE MAKE AN OFFICIAL COMPLAINT ABOUT GEOFF’S ABUSE?
Alya goes against Yasmeen’s wishes this week – and organises for her gran to speak with a police officer about how Geoff has been treating her.
However, the only way that Alya can make sure the topsecret meeting goes ahead is for Ryan to lure Yasmeen to Alya’s flat, under the pretence that something terrible has happened to her grandchild.
“It’s perhaps a little cruel of Alya to be so deceptive, but she has to get Yasmeen away from Geoff to a place where she can talk freely with an officer about his behaviour,” says our Corrie insider. “With Toyah’s help, Alya previously asked detectives for information on Geoff, to see if he has a history of abuse, and it seems the officer that comes to her flat has news that may be relevant.”
Yasmeen can’t believe that Alya would be so sneaky, and the last thing she wants to do is face up to the idea that she is trapped in an abusive relationship. Geoff has done a first-class job of convincing Yasmeen that he loves her, so she refuses to listen to what Alya’s police contact has to say and rushes out.
Later, Alya finds Yasmeen and hands her the officer’s card, begging her gran to call and find out the truth about Geoff. Meanwhile, her horrid hubby is secretly meeting with escort Rachel again…
“Alya and Ryan plot to convince Yasmeen that she should attend Zeedan’s wedding in Spain – using the event as the perfect opportunity to escape Geoff,” reveals our mole. “However, when Geoff returns from his clandestine meeting with Rachel, and learns what Alya is planning, he takes great pleasure in securing himself an invitation as Yasmeen’s plus-one. Alya is seething, as her efforts to separate the pair are thwarted again…”
What will it take for Geoff to finally slip up, and for Alya to convince Yasmeen that she must escape?
