GORDON RAMSAY, GINO D’ACAMPO AND FRED SIRIEIX ARE ON THE ROAD AGAIN…
After bonding on a shared road trip to their respective home countries two years ago, Gordon Ramsay, Gino D’acampo and Fred Sirieix are set to hit the open road again – this time, on the other side of the Atlantic. The trio will be crossing the USA and Mexico in their RV, sampling a variety of foods and cultural pursuits along the way. Here’s what they had to say about their exploits…
What can we expect from the new series?
Gordon You can expect to see the Three Amigos in my American back garden, doing things in a very American way: bigger and bolder! We’re having fun exploring the US through food, activities and, of course, some rivalry.
Gino It’s true friendship that we have, like three brothers. Gordon is the big brother, who knows everything, Fred is the middle brother trying to balance things between us, and I’m the little brother who doesn’t care about anything!
What was exciting about this route?
Fred I had never been to any of these places before; I knew nothing about where we were going, it was all new. I was like a puppy with open eyes just looking at everything!
Gino Most of the time I was just excited to be with the boys; I didn’t care where we were. We could have been in the middle of the desert, I didn’t really mind!
What were the food and drink highlights and low points?
Fred Gino cooked up a beautiful trout in Arizona, near the Colorado river – we caught it and then he grilled and fried it: it was delicious!
Gordon The worst had to be the tequila. I’m not a big tequila drinker, but when you give it to Fred and Gino, a tasting turns into a fiesta!
