Malone discovers Cain’s plotting

WILL’S LOYALTY LEADS HIM TO GO BEHIND CAIN’S BACK – AND PUTS THEM ALL IN DANGER...

- Allison Jones

Cain has to take charge of Will and Billy, in order to get control!”

There’s big bother for Cain this week, as Malone suspects the village bad boy has been plotting against him!

While the dodgy detective thought he had Cain, Will and Billy in his pocket, Cain has been trying to outmanoeuvre him. But when Will – who has previous with Malone, and is terrified of what he’s capable of – makes a rash decision, Cain’s plotting is exposed to the DI…

“Every time that Cain thinks he’s getting a handle on this situation, Will squeals!” sighs Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain. “Cain’s been keeping this car that Malone left at the garage because it has blood on it, so is vital evidence that Cain can use against Malone at some point. But it all goes wrong!”

Stressed Will knows nothing of the car until he suffers a panic attack when faced with carrying out Malone’s latest orders for the trio. Billy tries to calm him down, and ends up sharing the fact they have the blood-stained motor and that Cain reckons it gives them leverage against the dastardly detective. But later, both Billy and Cain are horrified when they discover that Will has stolen the all-important 4x4, thinking he is doing them all a favour by getting rid of something that could lead to even more trouble for them...

“Will thinks he’s doing the right thing by telling Malone about the car – but he puts a spanner in the works for Cain and Billy,” shares Jeff. “Malone is a lunatic. Cain’s been dragged into this situation by Will, and he’s not enjoying it, but he has to protect his assets. Which is why the car was so important!”

When Cain discovers what Will has so rashly done, he’s convinced that Will has signed

his own death warrant as soon as Malone finds out. And later, the police discover the car in a field, having been burnt out, and the detective seethes that it could lead his own officers back to him. He furiously confronts Cain about what the hell he was doing not getting rid of the car weeks ago, as they’d agreed. But with such a valuable bargaining tool gone up in smoke, how much longer can Cain avoid Malone’s vicious clutches – and keep himself and his family safe?

“Cain will have to dig deep in order to overcome Malone,” admits Jeff. “Because of Will and Malone’s previous dealings, Malone will always put Will on the back foot. So Cain’s really got to take charge of Will and Billy, if he’s to get control of this situation. So we might well be about to see him revert back to his old self…”
