Rhona makes a big decision about her future this week – after learning that Graham has left her a windfall.
The vet is stunned when word reaches her that Graham has left a large sum of money for her in his will, and as the news comes straight after a heart-to-heart between herself and Moira regarding struggling Butlers Farm, she’s soon struck with an idea. Before long, she resolves to put the money to good use by helping Moira get Butlers back on its feet.
“Graham’s bequest changes the game for Rhona – she now has something to build a future with,” explains our Dales spy. “She’s been looking for a way to put her shattered world back together, and it’s almost as though Graham is sending her a message from beyond. She has all the vet skills to look after Moira’s animals and start getting the farm back into profit. Together, they can make a real success of things.”
Given how bleak Moira’s world has been for the past few months, she can’t believe her luck when Rhona makes the shock offer. Following the turmoil of her split from Cain and the recent murder of their prize bull, things were looking really shaky. But Rhona’s investment is the lifeline she needs, and Moira knows they could be a formidable team. It seems together they’ll have the strength to come through the horror of recent events and seize a great opportunity.
But while the pair make plans, there’s already a problem on the horizon in the form of Graham’s former wife, Kim. She’s incensed to hear about Graham’s legacy, and vows to block the bequest...
“Kim viciously claims that Graham’s death is Rhona’s fault – if Pierce wasn’t stalking her, it wouldn’t have happened,” whispers our snitch. “She wants to break Rhona, and very nearly does with her cruel comments. Someone without Rhona’s strength would be reduced to a weepy wreck, but it only makes Rhona more determined to succeed...”
